First off, I had a good weekend.
Ok, on my way back up to college Sunday, I timed myself on how long it took me to get from Rochester to Duluth. Its ~240 miles (according to mapquest) and I did it in under 3 hours . Now for all you speed dicks out there, I was going 85-90 mph all the way up. The route I took was: Hw 52 (60mph) up to the St. Paul. Then I took North 35E (70mph) all the way up to Duluth.
Some of you might remember me from a thread I made earlier about getting a Jeep Liberty. Well, on the way down from college, I got roughly 19mpg going speed limit, ac off and the wind was going sideways (not with or against the car). When I was home, I changed the spark plugs. On the way back up I was going 85-90mph through the whole trip. 3/5 of 18.5 gallons is 11.1 gallons for 240miles = 21.62mpg. Thats with AC and the wind against the Jeep. Now your going to say, well it must be the spark plugs were bad, and it probably was. But getting 21.6 mpg for a SUV at 85mph is pritty good.
Oh on a side note, I was listening to the radio and heard something which might svck for some of you: On weekends, at the Mall of America, you must be accompanied by an adult 21+ if your are 14 years old or younger after 4:00pm, you must be atleast 16 or older to be alone.
. What confuses me is what if your 15? It doesnt say anything about being 15.
