Mr. President,
I wish to write you today, not as an American citizen, but as a member of
the human race.
What has happed in NYC is terrible, not in my wildest nightmare would I have
imagined it... It would be horrible if it happened anywhere in the world,
that it happened here just hits closer than ever to home.
I do believe that those who did this will face God for what they have done.
I also believe that God wants us to provide justice for those who were so
pointlessly killed yesterday.
I want you to know you have my full support, as do our troops, in bringing
these people to justice. If it turns out that a state was involved in this,
you have my support to declare war on them and remove their leadership from
power and bring them to trial using any means necessary.
I feel like war has been declared against America. This is not the same
kind of war that we faced in 1941 when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, but it
is still war. We're facing a war against our very way of life, a war
against our beliefs, a war against our families and children.
I've talked to dozens of people yesterday and today about this, I have yet
to run across someone who didn't feel this way. While God gets the final
justice, he does tell us that we must punish criminals here as well. Please
use all the resources of our collective government to do just that.
God Bless America
