I just ran 3km. Woohoo!

Feeling good, and hopefully I can pass my fitness test on Dec 3. Gotta run 2.4km in less than 12:40.

Just thought I'd share with everyone. :p

Approximately 1 mile in 12'40" is not that difficult (5 mph). I am also guessing it is on a treadmill.

Actually he has to run a mile and a half. It's a little more than an 8 min/mi pace

Not for someone just starting, no... but some workouts are geared towards raising the heartrate while lifting.

oh, I though he was joking...

I run to warm myself up and get the heart pumping. IT is usually fvkign freezing around here.

My primary outlet for excercise is swimming, and I figured runnign and lifting would make me stronger and hence work harder and geta a better workout in the pool;...

whats that 1.5 miles? Running 8mph for 1.5 miles is a pretty good run. Good Luck

1 and 1/2 miles in 12 minutes 40 is easily do-able even if you're going an 8/9 minute mile pace.

I'm 29 and running at a 9 minute pace for more than a mile is tough. I could run faster during my younger years, though (as fast as 7-min/mile pace for 3 miles.) :(

Anyway, GJ OP.:D

I'm 27 this year. It's hell cos I work in an office environment and the only exercise I get everyday is walking to the carpark and walking to lunch. :)

I used to be able to this run in under 10 minutes back when I was 18 and fit.

Now I just wanna pass it.

Oh, and it's on open track. Depends where I take the test. Some places make me run 6 rounds around the olympic track, but that really sucks cos it's so mentally straining.
