My new bed makes me pull the muscle in one of my legs, about 50% of the nights I stay in it. I wake up in the middle of the night with an incredible pain in one of my legs and then I'm forced to limp to the bathroom and take some asprin. It's a different leg every time. It happens at a different time every night. The bed has a headboard, no footboard. It's a full sized bed that I sleep semi-diagonally in. I don't think I'm in any particular position that makes me pull my muscle.

So ATOT... WTF?!?

It's new. I don't want to get another one just to have this problem again. I can't exactly do a trial sleep at the store, and it's a bitch to return a BED.

Besides, it might be the matress, and then I'd look like a fool.

Return it, they should be willing to pick it up & bring your replacement.

Do you know the difference between a charlie horse and pulling a muscle? It sounds like you are getting a charlie horse, and if you are you need more potassium in your diet, eat a banana.

QFT

Dude, you spend 1/3 of your life on this thing. If it is a POS you are wasting your life away! What is 2 hrs of hard work compare to this?

Perhaps you should install a Redundant Array of Independent Beds (a RAIB array).

its called a cramp.
Drink more water, take calcium & potassium, and stretch your legs (especially your calves) before you sleep.
