My Latest Broadway Experience

My pre-teen niece and nephew came to visit me for a couple of days in NYC. For entertainment, they wanted movies (of course), but I said - I'll do you one better - knowing that they've never been to a Broadway show. So, we went to Tarzan and Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. The kids loved it, and yours truely didn't suffer much either... Mainly because of a $35 discount to Tarzan and a $40 on Beauty and the Beast, both of which I got through [link deleted]. Counting 6 tickets, I saved $215 . Sweet!

You saw Tarzan and Beauty and the Beast, and you don't have the decency to post your opinion? C'mon, tell us what you really think.

I thought Tarzan was breathtakingly bad. The music was lame, the story was questionable, the costumes were inappropriate, the staging was ridiculous. The flying around stuff was out of whack the night I was there and the actors were hanging there looking scared but trying to "act", that part was actually hilarious. But not on purpose.

Beauty and the Beast has good bones. But the most recent cast I saw was not good. I pity anybody who paid money for it. I can't believe that show producers take a decent thing like that, and throw unrehearsed, sort-of-good performers into it without polishing them into shape, and also add a "name" who shouldn't really be there at all.

well, at least you have a different avatar.
and, for your 1st post, it is quite interesting that you linked something that you did.
Both of those shows are only mediocre (at best)....
But nice try... "theaterfan.

Well that's a shame. I've used Broadwaybox for ticket discounts before. Never again. Congratulations, your spam has backfired, jackass.
