Of course this involves a Sound Blaster card, but it's a Sound Blaster PCI128, which is giving me a little problem that I can't seem to figure out. Apparently, my sound card works just fine until it is awakened from sleep mode. Then it gives this static along with what its suppose to be playing. Interesting thing is, when I get an MP3 playinng and am listening to the garbled stuff I go ahead and press my Windows key on my keyboard (which initiates a desktop theme oriented sound ) you will hear about a half a second of the music actually playing right without the garbled stuff.
I have VIA 4.29 drivers with the newest drivers from Sound Blaster. Should I try 4.30 out? Anything else I can do?
thanks for the help.
