I feel absolutely f0cking great. I just feel so relaxed and like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Usually the last 4 weeks it's quiet but my co worker has been away so I've had to work longer hrs for the past 4 weeks!

The best bit is that I'm off to Australia for 3 weeks tomorrow and no more 5:35am wake ups for a short while! Then the new job starts on the 15th November :D

My last place at my food place is on Sunday. I can't wait =D

Getting paid $11 an hour to sit on a computer and do my homework is better than $8 an hour cleaning up after people's shit.

I'm working two jobs right now; flame broiler which is the food place and IT at the ucla library. Library job is cake since no one really ever has any major problems so I basically sit around all day on ATOT or do homework lol. Its nice getting free food but god I hate dealing with people with food. its changed the way I eat when I go out now.

Aight.

I worked at KFC for about 3months before I had enough when I was 16. I couldn't be bothered to work after Rugby on a Sundays. It was just punishing after a hard game of Rugby, I just didn't want to do 4-5hrs on a Sunday night :(

Cheers mate.

Old job EU algorithmic trading support at Global agency stock broker
New job AVP Connectivity (fix onboarding, some trader support and project work) at a us iBank in London. LOL at the job title, but the US guys lap that sh!t up.

Going to get some work treats for my co workers and the trade floor now. Usually it's 2 dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme...I'm going to get a stash of savoury stuff and sweet stuff from M&S.

Same thing for me....but...I'm leaving one job and jumping into another head on after a short week end. Maybe the worst mistake ever.

I hear you. Wish I could quit my job at the car rental place, where I'm doing the latter for a McDonald's wage. I have two (useful) degrees and a solid internship under my belt for gawd's sake. I really wish this economy would pick up.

Nice! It's always fun sitting around not caring if you accomplish a damned thing on your last day of work...what are they gonna do? Fire you? :p

Short timer's disease FTW!!!

Congrats on the new job.

I had never taken any breaks before going in to the next job either. It only came to me when I was negotiateing for more £££ and I thought might as well chuck in some time off before I started.

how did you apply for the new job?
is your job more on the coding side or IT related?

Onboarding new clients, so speaking with the traders, sales traders, sales people and getting requirements and onboarding new clients/ connections to make sure the fix engines and messaging is certified to work properly. More IT then coding I guess.

Congrats on the new job.

I'm mainly going because I could have fitted the last 8months worth of work down to 5-6 weeks tops imo. I learnt my job and the systems pretty dam well after being here 28months...and they weren't paying me enough :p

But yeah it's weird the last day. It would have been A LOT better if they just told me to GTFO like other iBanks.

The colleagues lapped up my treats for them. They got me a nice hugo boss wallet and £15 in it lol. They must have noticed the £10 wallet from Argos that I have...I'd rather have more money in the wallet then what it's worth personally.

Off to Aus in 11hrs time, so f0cking excited. NO MORE 5:35am starts!
