My last camera pick... Canon S1 IS

I'm gonna jump the gun and get the Canon Powershot S1 IS for $345

I bet I'm getting ripped off on a POS cam, but oh well. I've been deciding for over 2 weeks, and frankly, I'd rather get a top notch camera that's close to the price of other good digicams (canon s400 ; A80 , Olympus c750+).

Crap crap crap...... is any one going to tell me that I'm an idiot? :roll:

Have you actually played with it at all? I played with it two times, and both times I just could not get the flash to pop up. I tried it in all modes, but the flash just wouldn't come up. So I was wondering if you knew anything about that?

Congrats!

I just got the S60. Should be receiving it this Wednesday. I was looking at the S1 but it was a little too big for me and a downgrade in resolution from my 4MP S40. If it were 5MP, I would have seriously considered it.

from everything i have read about that canera it seems to have noise issues

Just got my S60 today.

This thing is so much better than my S40. Everything is so much faster. Its like going from P3 to a P4.

The start up time, shutter lag, menu response. Everything is accelerated on it. Plus its smaller, weighs less and battery life is better.
