At end of the season 2, david palmer shakes hands with that one mercenary lady and she infects him with something. does this have anything at all to do with season 3??

yes or no only please.

 
Not too much at the current time. It was used as a way to introduce David's love interest/doctor earlier in the season.
 
FYI, she was the same chick who killed the photographer on the plane from Season 1. Just used kind of as a plot line in S3 to weaken the President, I'm sure there is some significance other than the doc.

Actually i did remember that kind of. i knew i'd seen her as one of the mercenaries in season 1.

also, there were significant tie ins from season 1 to 2 and i expect that there will be between season 2 and season 3 when it's all done.
