my las vegas experience

I had 10 grand, which took me 3 years to save this much working as a waitor. a friend and I get together and decided we hit las vegas for the weekend and try to double or triple our money. The first day, i won 2 grand. second day, i lost 7 grand bringing to a lost of 5k. 3rd day, i end up with 0. Well since I have no $$$ left, i guess that mean its game over for me. I guess thing didn't work out as i planned, and this is one reason why the rich, get richer. Just lacked a little common sense, been warned by others that i was going to lose. 🙁

well it's your own fault. don't gamble anything you can't afford to lose. what did you play? I believe BJ has the best odds but you have to know how to play every hand perfectly.

First the monkey post and now this... this is just too rich 🙂

But seriously, yeah, sorry man.
I would never gamble $10,000, unless I were in the world series of poker or had an income of at least 6 figures.

Hope you didn't blow it all on Roulette (devourer of souls).
Blackjack is definitely the best odds at winning, even better if you have a system for counting/tracking 🙂

ummm...after you lost $7,000 on the second day, you didn't think to cut your losses?
Seriously, I just don't understand how people think they can get rich gambling in Vegas. As the saying goes, "The house always wins.".

ROFL I would've taken 1 grand and that was it. If I won or lost I would've been fine. Besides that I would've went shopping and bought stuff that I can't find back home. Man, 10Gs down the drain. Do you have any other savings? Are you still young? What will you do with your life now?

You sir, are an idiot.

You didn't think that once you started getting down to triple digits from 10k that maybe you should save at least a little bit?

Jesus Christ...did you ever think about what you could buy with that 10 grand? Or you could have invested it and lived comfortably when you're 55.

i feel sorry for you, not for the $ you lost, but you must have really low self-esteem to be wasting 3 years of hard work for nothing.

Was it fun for ya? If it was, then good. You saved up for a Las Vegas experience and you got what you paid for. Next time, you will be smarter about your gambling. Next time,(if I may) gamble a bit smaller, enjoy the food and shows, and watch the action of the high rollers you where trying to emulate on this trip. And always, go for the perks. If you put $1000 on the table, call the pit boss and tell em you want some perks. They will give them to you on the spot. Others see that and gamble more, just to get the same perks.

You could have bought yourself a early 90s Corvette for $10K.

I spent 7 days in Vegas in march and left down $9.75........I'm not much of a gambler.

Nah - Blackjack has crappy odds if you dont count from the beginning of the shoe. I prefer Craps, myself.

Anyways - did you at least get into the Diamond Club of any of the resorts?
