My laptop smoked!!! Help!

If anyone has had this problem before please give me advice on what to do... I have a gateway laptop PII that literally smoked when I plugged it in to work on it. After that it would not power up anymore. Anyone knows what happened? how to fix this? and where to get it fixed? Please advise me! I really need to get this thing going.. Thanks....

How about trying Gateway! If they no longer service that model then get out the yellow pages...
