Greetings Everyone

I'm guessing my Toshiba 17" laptop screen is now defective, there is a 2" white band running vertically all the way up the screen even when booting up so I figured that its just as expensive to replace it (its 2.5 yrs old) as to repair it, is this correct?

if so I will replace it with a 15.6" laptop with Windows-7...what do you guys suggest ? should I ship it to Toshiba and have them replace it or is it about the same cost to just get another one? Thanks for your input, Jim
 
I suggest googling the Laptop's model number and see what a replacment screen would cost. That is if your comfertable with trying to change out the sreen yourself or you know someone who does.
