I currently have a P4 2.4, 256Mb Ram, 30Gb hard drive, onboard 32mb video, cd-rw drive, is it worth selling or replacing for Mac Mini?

Depends on what you do with your computer.....
For gamins, it will still be better than your current machine, but the mini mac won't be great.
The Mini mac is good for browsing/email/general use, but not really gaming or much "hard" stuff (video editing type stuff).

Actually, video editing should work very well. My friends son uses FCP on a Powermac G4 466mhz at school, and he says it runs very well.

Keep the laptop. Mac Mini is neat, but not very portable what with an external monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc...

A 2+ GHz P4 laptop will still last you a long time, especially if it has a real GPU and dedicated gfx ram, not onboard chipset junk graphics. My advice would be to upgrade the laptop to 512, 768, or 1024 MB and keep using it for another year before replacing it.
