My laptop just stopped powering up.. PLEASE HELP!

I woke up this morning and my laptop (ibm thinkpad I series) stop powering up. It wont even start. My gf's brother said he tried pluggin in my external USB flooppy and all of a sudden, it turned off and would not turn back on. When I plug in the charger, the battery indicator turn green to orange if that helps. PLEASE HELP.. I miss my laptop!
