My Laptop Has A Sharing Problem

I have my laptop (XP Home) and desktop (XP Pro) next to each other, both hooked up to a router. Problem is, I'll share the "FOLDER1" folder on the laptop and the desktop can see it, BUT if I add anything else to that folder, the desktop will be able to see it but not open it or use it. Meanwhile, I share my whole storage hard drive on my desktop to the laptop and it can use it perfectly fine even if I add files to it.

Anyone got a quick fix?

Sounds like a permissions issue on the folder. Are you logging in to both machines with the same username and password?
