my laptop dieing or something

I turn it on, it boots into windows(slowly) and then doesn't display anything when it gets into windows. I can hear things but no display. I tried the computer with a monitor but same problem. The screen is kinda going nuts and artifacting even before windows starts to load. Here are some pics.

You could try downloading Memtest86 and burning it to a CD. Check your RAM to make sure it hasn't gone bad. Otherwise, the GPU (is it dedicated?) is probably going bad.

Try removing the RAM and cleaning the contacts, or replacing it. I've had the same sort of screen corruption on a desktop computer with built in video that shares the system RAM.
