I just need some help. I just put together a msi kt4-ultra-fisr, using a amd axda 2200+ cpu , corsair ddr400 xms 3200 2.5cas 512mb,geforce 2mx video card, western digital 120gb special edition hd, u.s. robotics modem,420w power supply, 3 case fans,2 ps fans, chipset fan,cpu heat sink & fan, unit. It runs great,in fact i'm using it now, but, for some reason it only recognizes my cpu as a 1500+ clocking at 1350mhz. When i try to get it to run any faster, it locks up. I don't want to over clock it, but i would like to see it run like the 2200+ {1.8} i bought. I have tried another 2200+ cpu having the same result happen. Does anybody have a suggestion?

some quick math says that your fsb is at 100mhz with a 13.5 multiplier. in the bios, change your fsb to 133 and it should be ok.

Try dropping the CAS in the BIOS from 2.5 to 3(if possible) or just replace that stick of ram; it could very well be that the ram is not quite up to spec.

F.Y.I.
I finnally solved my problem ....................... still feeling alittle stupid.......o.k. alot
stupid. The ram & cas was fine but thanks for the input. On this bios, i had to set the fsb speed
that i wanted and leave ratio setting on auto..........i really thought i needed to adjust the ratio
myself,when adjusting the fsb...............BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Thanks again for all the input.
confusedus........or should that be i'm confused?
So in conclution... board is great and pc3200 ddr400 runs sweet .Sorry for the false alarm.

I'm out...........................
