i bought of those those "bands" to put right under my knee cap, when I had pain there. It helped alot. probably depends alot on what kind of pain you're experiencing.

Nah. Ibuprofen/advil/aleve is better. They are anti-inflamatories. Work better than asprin.

As for your pain - is it on the outside or inside of the knee, the back of the knee, or under the knee cap? Does it hurt only when extending your knee? Only when you put weight on it?
