My kitty ran away

:(

My kitty is gone! We never let him out of the house, due to the fact he likes to use my car as a scratching post, and because there are other cats outside that seem to attack my cat when he does go outside. My cat was bitten on the tail by another cat, so we put one of those collar thingies on him to keep him from licking his wound. Then, someone opened the front door, and the kitty ran outside. No one thought he would go anywhere because he was just laying on the grass. So one hour later, I go outside and call him. But he is nowhere to be found! :( I don't think he is safe because of the little collar thing. He usually ran into walls with that thing on. I thoughtm "Hey, he will be back." It's been a week since he ran away. :(

I miss my kitty. :(

:( Hope he comes back.

Have you thought about putting some flyers up in the neighborhood and the local vet's office? Could be someone's found him and taken him in.

I haven't done so yet. I actually didn't think of that. That is a good idea. I'll print out some flyers first thing in the morning.

Thanks. :)

Yeah, my girlfriend just got three new kittens @ her farmhouse and her dog got ahold of one (the one she liked the most and loved playing with) and killed it.

when I left there tonight he had another one in his mouth but fortunately that was was still alive and just had dog slobber all over it.

So I took the dog, put the kitten by it's nose, let it sniff the kitten and then I wacked him a few times across the nose. don't know if that'll do any good or not but he sure didn't like it so hopefully it did.

Cats have an incredible ability to disappear for days and come back unscathed. GL to you.

OMG! I would be so upset I would not be able to breathe!

:( :( :( :( :(

You look in the shelter? Put up posters? Gone door to door?

I hope he comes home safe!

If it is any comfort my favorite cat (funny, since I actually hat cats) disappeared one day. After a few weeks I knew I would never see him again. About a month after he was gone I was outside in the driveway at about midnight and heard a cat wimpering just like he did, I called his name and he came running down the street and jumped into my arms. I still have no idea where he was for a whole month.

I know the feeling. Our cat ran away couple of months back. She got back 4 weeks later. All cats I/We have had running away have come back. I'll keep my fingers crossed..

On another note. We have 10 cats atm. you can have one if you'd like. 5 of them are 8 weeks old. But the 1 week old I wont give away., He was given birth at my birthday so he's basicly my little baby :p
