my keyboard and mouse lock up

im on my laptop and the keyboard and mouse lock up only when playing a game or running a program like photoshop, like only the keyboard and mouse lock up, and the game in the background will continue running, so its not like it freezes, but if i surf the web it seems fine, doesnt lock up, maybe after 30 mins to 2 hours or so it will, but on games that only require like 64mb ram, small dumb games that are old, it locks up after 15 mins or so, and its a 1.1ghz, 384mb ram, win xp pro, amd duron cpu, any ideas why, its not freezing, just the mouse and keyboard stop working, ctrl ald del wont work, but the game will keep running and its a laptop, thanks!
