My ISP wont support my DSL under win me

my isp uses NTS Enternet PPPoE 1.3 software which doesnt work with win ME they told me to download 1.4 and use it which is a trial that runs out in 30 days,when I asked them whether they would send me an update that doesnt run out they said they will not be doing that and that 1.3 is all they intend on supporting
anyone have some realistic suggestions on what I can do?

If that's the case, that's the case.

You will need to wait until your ISP supports it.

Or write your own drivers.

to use PPPoet DSL connections under WinME you need to download a new PPPoet software called RasPPPoet which works under ME. I used it for a bit before I started work and had to ditch my comp- but it worked pretty well, though it doesn't have the &quot;prettiest&quot; interface, its pretty easy.

<edit> here's the page - RasPPPoet page make sure you dl the proper one- for either the NT/Win2000 or 98/ME. I recommend READING the whole page before you do anything. It worked for me in ME and Bell Atlantic DSL which uses WinPPPoet by default. I don't make any guarentees- try it out. Definitly read THIS FIRST READ THIS

i' guessing that they'll start supporting it soon since it's available to the public now. people were having trouble with their isp's and winme a few weeks ago, and the isp's were saying that they wouldn't support it until it was available to the public, so there's my help ... he he he he he ... sorry

If your ISP says they won't support windows me, they will go out of business very quickly. They must be freakin stupid to do that.

and I tried RASPPPoet but it wouldnt work,would recognize but not do anything after except ask me for my password
would love to find something other then enternet which is a hog of resources
