My iPod nano broke

My ipod nano's battery completely died. Luckily it is still within the warranty period. If I bring it to an apple store, can they give me a different color when they give me a refurb? I have a silver nano 4th gen 8gb right now, hoping to get black.

I do not think so. Theres a different serial number that associates with each refurb. When they bring it out to exchange it, it should be the exact same model and color sent back in the same box to their warehouse. Then again, anything is possible when a cute girl asks for an exchange...

I'm pretty sure they won't switch colors. You'll get the same model and color.

I've had an iPod Nano die/break on me, and I was wondering the same thing when I went in to have it replaced. I asked them, and they allowed me to swap it for a different colour. I just had the standard warranty, nothing special. They were extremely nice about it as well. Might have just been the Genius I received was an incredibly nice person.

my friend got his 3rd gen nano swapped a few years ago. he started out with silver, and wanted black instead, and they happily gave it to him.
