My iPod is completely frozen and vibrating excessively

It won't respond to anything. It froze halfway through a song. Even when I plug it into the firewire cable, nothing happens. It won't shut down, not even if I hold the PLAY button for 10 seconds. I also noticed it's vibrating more than normal, although it's not noticable unless you really feel it.

Am I fux0red?

Time to reset the iPod.

You reset it by pressing the Play and Menu buttons down at the same time. The iPod logo should appear. The regular iPod menu should show up. Instead mine shows a file folder, with a little tiny triangle over one corner. Inside is a little tiny exclamation point. That's a bad sign; it means the iPod can't find its software. Text
