Maybe this goes to the don't post your imei or sn online.

So my kids threw my phone into the tub, so I went to the store to do my apple care+ swap. My phone came up as stolen.

I had a digital receipt for repair in july with my full sn but they didn't want to take that.

This is also why you should save your box and receipts :) So now I have to go back Monday with my box and receipt.

I didn't post my imei or sn online so either someone reporting their lost phone had a typo and enter 1 number difference and end up flagging my phone or something

Did you call AT&T/VZW/Sprint, whomever and tell them your phone was broken?

If you did, it's quite possible they misunderstood you. Just a thought.

Nope, I bought phone from apple, im using a tmobile sim only plan. The two never met before. The only time the carrier knows what phone I got is when I plug the sim card in.

If you have a receipt get them to warrant it. If they refuse, file a BBB claim against them and make noise about getting "your" lawyer involved too.

Pretty sure you got trolled, Apple doesn't flag or track stolen devices. Only your wireless carrier will do that, and they can blacklist it from connecting to their network.

I read blog articles months ago stating that Apple would start working with carriers to block stolen devices. I think they've been doing it for many months now.

...and I'm not talking about iOS 7 features.

You can check the imei status yourself. Tmobile won't allow bad esn phones on their network so it couldn't have been reported stolen while u were still actively using it

yeah they do, I was at the apple store, getting my device warranty swap, they punch in the serial number, not the imei, and a big ass yellow box comes out device reported stolen.

Ill take a pic on monday when I bring my reciepts in for service, unless they wont let me

"Apple doesn't track or flag lost or stolen products"

This is written twice on the page, and it was last modified last month.

I bought it from ATT, i have att receipt, last apple iphone repair invoice, original box, etc.

Apple doesn't track ?, tell it to the genuis bar with this big yellow alert box. Ill see if they're willing to give me a screen shot of my stolen phone alert today on their system.

"Track" in regards to the Apple support doc mentioned seems to refer the act of actively tracking a missing phone using "Find my iPhone", not simply keeping track of phones reported lost or stolen by the carrier.

I may be incorrect, but as far as I know, if you want to report an iPhone lost or stolen, that goes through the carrier, not Apple. This doesn't preclude Apple for referencing such a list to aid in fraud prevention.

hard to keep track when you have so many.. it was att, i thought i had bought it through apple, but it was replaced by apple in june/july so that new unit never talked to an att service before, only tmobile. pics from a iphone 4, so that unit isn't in the pic

so they took all my receipts and went to the back, the lady called someone and came out with a new phone and I was all set. She said most likely someone type in the wrong sn/imei and caused my phone to be flagged. Wouldn't allow me to get a screen shot

OP, seriously....

Did you try calling T-Mobile to clear this up? I believe only your phone provider can blacklist your IMEI number...
