My iphone survived quite a little journey today

Was out walking the dog and started to take my iphone out of its foof sleeve (http://www.foofshop.com) when my dog pulled hard to rush ahead. I squeezed my hand and my iphone shot out of the foof like a canon, launching it about 5-6 feet ahead of me on a solid concrete sidewalk. bang, bang, bang as it rolled end over end, coming to rest on its face. 🙁

my stomach dropped.

ran over and amazingly, its fine. Two very minor scuffs on the silver bezel, but other than that its fine.

Time to go out and get a real case, maybe a slider 🙂

I love my Slider. I actually broke the first one I had for my phone in a drop and the new one has survived a handful of it's own spills.

Call me crazy, I just like having my phone in a dock when charging!

My neighbor ran his iPhone through the washing machine. The microphone got messed up, but otherwise, it was fine. He bought a headset and was good to go. 🙂

I just ordered a otterbox defender for my iphone 3g lets see how this goes

complete overkill for everyday use .. it makes the iPhone so friggen clunky and thick. I bought one, received it, put it on my iPhone and instantly decided that wasn't gonna work for me on a day to day basis. Maybe if you work construction or something and you NEED that level of protection. It also wasn't as good quality as I had hoped.

...and it's $50 too. Good lord!

Monoprice wins again. $1.01 for a basic "shock absorbing" silicone skin. Those are normally $20 at BB and cell phone stores.

I've accidentally poured diet coke on my phone. Been working for 6 months going okay, short of little issues here and there. I believe one of my speakers aren't working anymore. But still works, im not going to complain.
