Open 'er up and see what kind of battery(ies) it uses. Most likely you can replace it w/ some you've salvaged from a cordless phone (or go to a store that sells replacement phone batteries and see if you can find a pack that looks similar in size. You might have to modify it, but, I'd wager your odds are high it can be done.

It says parts and labor are under warranty for 1 year. How old is your PPC?

If it's been less than a year, call up Compaq.

BTW, your PPC has a Li-Polymer battery, not NiCad (thanks goodness :)) So, DON'T open it up! It's a custom designed battery for your iPaq. You won't find it at Radio Shack :)

oh yea - your right again :)

I think the warranty runs out either late in july or august so I better get on it.

I doubt I have all the documentation but I guess I will give it a shot.

THks

Yeah, call up Compaq ASAP! The batteries aren't userreplaceable, so you don't want to get stuck paying for it, when it's out of warranty. Just call them and give 'em the serial number off the back. You'll probably have to send it in (you won't need the documentation or box). They usually send you a box with prepaid shipping (at least they did when I had my iPaq).
