my ip has been banned by a ftp server, what can i do

Dont try to work around, do the right thing and contact the site admin....if you were not banned for abusing his site then I am sure he/she will fix the problem for you.

Well like the others are saying. Or if you happen to have an account on another system (like a college UNIX system) telnet into that system, then use it to ftp to the other site. Download the files to the college computer account. Then download them to your computer.

guys I think you are missing something important here, if the admin banned his ip address, it more than likely means he first banned his username/pass so even if you do successfully connect using a different ip you won't be able to log on.
