My internet,nooo

Hey um everytime I use my computers internet connection it dies out after like 5 minutes. help?

Wow, that's a plethora of information but we might need just a fact or 2 more in order to help ya. 🙂 just teasin! What kind of connection? Cable? DSL? Dial-Up? Routers?

cable, oh and I tried it on my laptop and it worked

what do you mean it dies out?
try bypassing the router and directly connecting to the modem

no you see theres a cable that only goes into the cable router and from there there is a ethernet cable from there to my comp. oh and its get a connection. but it gets slower and slower until it disapers.

Help us to help you, give us information. Is this something that was working before and recently started to not work? Is this a new setup? You say your laptop works, is it using the same cable, or a differant one? Have you tried a differant cable? What network card do you have in your PC? Do you have the latest drivers? Give us SOMETHING to work with..

ok, so you are using the onboard nic? what motherboard? and I would suggest using the newest drivers, since you don't know what ones you are using. What router are you using?
