My internet has gone crazy

I have earthlink adsl, rated at 1.5mb, and I normally download at maybe 150k/s max. The past few days it's been downloading at a minimum of 250k/s, and sometimes it even goes up to 400k/s. I ran multiple of the little bandwidth testers online and they all say I have at least 2 to 2.5mb download speed. What the hell happened to my internet? ...not that I'm complaining or anything.

I don't think so. It is supposed to be 1.5mb and has been that speed for more than a year. This is new and never happened before. Doesn't seem to be stopping either. oh well.
 
Download like a muthafucka before they realize they gave you the upgrade in stead of Mr. Jones who paid for it.

In my experience with broadband companies, that should happen at about the same time that the earth crashes into the sun.
