great tip...thnx...I had actually given that some thought...but the WAF would be reduced somewhat :)

"somewhat" is putting that lightly ;)

So now that I've seen the pics, what kind of components are you running? Speakers too.

Nice! Don't the paintings fall off the wall though? And your next purchase should be a projector.

the frames stay put...two sided adhesive tape.

Projector is on the list after some new speakers. The Sony is only about 1.5yrs old, so i think I will try to get some more mileage out of it before I replace it.

My sub is far, far outclassed by this (or any halfway decent IB setup).

What kind of volume do you have behind that wall? I see your space shot but it doesn't tell me much. it looks like you could build something that would allow one driver reversed without coming into the room with it.

You also never said what you were using for an amp, though I imagine it doesn't require much.

Whenever I own a house an IB setup is definitely on my list of projects. Maybe roll a Parthenon motor into my home loan.

I'm still using the 250 Plate amp that I used for the original 220L enclosure that built last year, and you are right...takes hardly any power at all. The receiver is calibrated for 85db at 0, I generally listen to DVDs at -15...The room is relatively small at 12x21x8

the plateamp is at roughly 30%, FWIW....I've also lowered the rumble filter Fc on the amp to near 10hz. I will probably unload the plate amp at some point to a friend of mine and grab a cheap nady/crown. but for the time being it has more than enough juice to drive these guys.

The crawl space is roughly 22'x30'x3' ... I should have turned the light on down there when I took the pic...duh! I'm sure I can figure something out with turning the driver around, this was supposed to be temporary until I decided whether or not I liked it...but one thing led to another...you know how it goes :)

It was actually your sono pix that motivated me to build my 220L...

edit: I hope to run some sweeps this weekend and get some numbers on spl
