where i work, we get paid once a week. payday is every thursday. i've been budgeting myself expecting 4 paychecks a month. then i just realized... some months have 5 thursdays in them! thats an extra paycheck unaccounted for!

Don't forget to account for the other side effect - if your budget is based on weekly amounts.

Some people calculate budgets based on weekly expenses for things they don't pay monthly for... things like gas, food, etc. Then they forget that there are more than 4x7 days in a month.

My old job paid us every week, and it was a blast. Now I get paid twice a month and I'm always waiting around for payday.

i only get paid once a month...it sux...no need for it, i should at least get twice a month.

oh and they assume i work all the days, so if i miss a day or have overtime, i dont see it till the next months paycheck...boo
