If enough people complain about picture size, I'll make a lores version, but much badass manliness will be lost.

So today we decided to let my 16-year-old brother take a try at driving. Dad and I also decided to change it up a little. We put him in the Sierra 2500 (1977) and sabotaged it a little. The ground is still fairly wet, his objective was to drive around in an empty field for awhile. It didn't quite work out that way.

Sabotage.
Moron can't even get it to back up. Slips forward down the hill.
Spinnin' wheels.
Threw a little weight (me) on the axle and went down the hill to get some momentum.
Success! He's got enough speed to get out of the parking space.
And into the brush.
And now the fun begins.

This went on for quite some time.
And the aftermath...
A triumphant moron.

Idiot.
Under the rear
Front left.
Left side
Muddy mirror
Smoke was pouring out of there. Oil residue burning off.
By the way, you could fit 3 bodies in there with the motor and still have plenty of room.
Moron checks out his handiwork.
The truck laid an egg.
Innocent.

NOTE: The poster does not condone doing this to anyone else's property without permission. We have permission. This is also dangerous. Don't try this at home.

Truck has 4WD with manually locking hubs. Unlocked the hubs and kicked it into RWD.

And he didn't notice immediately? Pretty dang easy to feel from the driver's seat whether it's in 4WD or not.

It's the first time he'd ever been in the driver's seat.

You guys really aren't redneck enough.

We bought a 1981 Impala, 1981 Coupe de Ville, and a 1986 Buick Regal and had ourselves a backyard demo derby. All was fun until the Regal went aflame with my cripple ass in t.

We're working on it. Our back yard is practically vertical, though :p

I was looking for an upside down truck. Nice first time though :)

I used to do that in parking lots. It was more fun to get a 8000lb truck sliding sideways at 30 in a dry parking lot. That made for some great stares. Thornbirds + HP = smoke and rubber everywhere.

Understood, but surely he'd been driving other things? Hell, a person can feel fishtailing on just a Simplicity garden tractor.

I dunno, I was born just counting down the days to my 16th birthday, so I kind of just hopped in and went. I'd read so many books on performance driving and dynamics and how it should feel and such that it all just felt natural. :) Of course, I'm a freak with a one-track mind.

Close. North Baltimore County. I think you can see Carroll though. Anyone familiar with the geography of the region should be able to figure out almost exactly where this is.

Sadly, the transmission lines give it away.
