My IDE cable wont fit

Hey im building my computer and my IDE cable will slide in but after a while it sorta slids out. So do u i need a new cable?

I gotta ask, what were you sliding in where?

i had to apple a significant amount of force on the cable for it to go into the pins. i wasnt expecting it to require so much... i didnt want to break anything.
