Hi all,

Just finished a build and doing benchmarking to test stability and such.

Newcastle 3500
MSI K8T Neo 2-f (939)
Leadtek 6600gt

3d mark05 scores were 3300 running at stock (2.2)

I pushed the fsb to 210: everything 100% stable.

3dmark05 scores dropped to 3170. Ran it twice. Same

CPU scores went up the right amounst.

VERY CONFUSED,

Thanks, Leigh

Yeah, the A64 doesn't need any more bandwidth than it gets, so pushing up the memory bandwidth isn't doing anything for you, but it is increasing the latency which hurts you. So, like rock said...use a divider.

Using pc3200 corsair value select that I have had running in another setup at 220 fsb. Maybe it got tired of those speeds. Will do the divider and see what happens.
