So who do you suppose is the bigger idiot, the guy that came up with the bad idea in the first place or the guy that didn't come up with anything and just followed the already proven bad ideas made up by his predecessor?

I wonder how much ole Darwin misses the point, because at the end of the day, its we the people of the United States who pay the price for our fearless leaders stupidity.

One day Obama will join GWB in the proud occupation of US Prez retired, with the added bonus of a huge retirement and secret service protection. It don't get better than that.

But maybe some fine day, we will do what we ought to, and send our Presidents off to the Hague to face their illegal deeds and war crimes. We might get some wiser leadership after that. Until that there are no seeming incentives.

I guess my opinion is that I want the President to have some time "off." For one, they never really get time off, just look at how rapidly they age. The job is tremendously stressful. I would rather have a President who at least tries to take care of themselves making decisions. If not, we end up with bad things.

A round of golf every couple of weeks, hell, who cares. I imagine most CEOs do similar things.

For the sake of accuracy... 72 times since he took office and every week for the last three months. Plus a few vacations to Hawaii.

What libtards don't understand is their criticism of Bush really opened them up to the full fury of We The People. Now it's basically OK to bash the president (in fact it's the greatest form of democracy), document and communicate his every move, every golf game, every decision, every failed response by FEMA, everything.

Thanks libtards, turn about is fair play and may the greatest of fuck be upon Barrack Hussein Obama. Fuck this president, fuck Obama, and fuck the wookie. FBHO.

High five from all my friends and co-workers.

Yes Spidey, you hate Liberals, the President, and anything connected with the President. And your attitude towards his wife will surely win you awards for civility. The current political environment is SOLELY the responsibility of those left of center. These beliefs are wholly unsurprising to anyone with a couple functioning brain cells who read your posts.

What I'm really interested in learning is what is underneath your anger/rage. Well, I would be if I was your therapist.

Doesn't surprise nor upset me in the slightest. Most federal employees get 30 days off a year + holidays.

Now you're out of the context of the OP (like it matters at this point). The FLOTUS made a rather silly statement that doesn't seem to hold up to reality. That's about it. I could give a weasel's whiskers about what Walt the postman's work schedule is.

I think this whole post is really a waste of time. I mean, I suppose it can be fun to sit back and dissect every single word a politician says and call them out for being hypocritical. But seriously, who gives a damn? (Those who do give a damn reveal a lot about themselves)

We've got bigger problems, and the amount of days/work the President does is very far down the list. This stuff is merely distraction.

I view the rest of it as more or less unfixable... either because the two parties care more about measuring their dicks or because they've just let things get so out of hand that there just isn't a fix anymore.

So I have this. Michelle Obama (who is not a politician by the way) making dumb statements that anyone with access to the internet can plainly see. Call it my amusement as we spiral down to third world status.

Really? What dumb statement did she make? You and the usual witless hate-mongers are acting as if she said he never takes a moment off. But that simply and clearly is not the case. What she really said is, "This man doesn't take a DAY off." Is she wrong? Can you show any examples of Obama taking a whole day off, or even most of a day?

My guess is that your cute attack photos were preceded by and followed by several hours of work in each case. In other words, Obama took a break for a little recreation -- but not a DAY off. I'm sure you can prove otherwise, however. Right?

Good God people, give your hatred a rest and use your brains for a change. There are so many significant reasons to criticize Obama, but the P&N loon squad constantly focuses on the most stupid and petty nonsense they can find. It makes you so easy to dismiss.

So I took your advice and searched the Internet and I just can't seem to find a break down of President Obama's daily itineraries to illustrate the conclusion you state is so easy to find. Perhaps you can point me to all the material that shows exactly what he does each day so I may be as informed as you. See from what I can tell no one has any clue what he does any given day to be able to state the he doesn't work.

So you have Spidey's attitude under a veneer of civility. Very nice.

What does "a day off" really mean? Playing a round of golf or cutting some brush at the ranch (GWB) doesn't mean the CinC took a day off- it just means that the Prez has more catching up to do later in the day. Modern presidents don't get days off like the rest of us- days where they can just disappear if they want, hike the high country, stay out on the lake from before sunup until after dark w/ no phone, no kids, no wife, no nothin'... or a lot of other ways people actually take a day off.

It doesn't work that way for them.

What it really means is that Michelle Obama was telling the truth, no matter how hard anybody wants to spin it to the contrary.

GWB spent 977 days "on vacation" in 8 years, and I personally begrudged him none of it, because he never really was on vacation at all.

Bush in office-> Democrats complain he isn't doing enough ->Republicans claim the President can only do so much

Obama in office ->Republicans complain he isn't doing enough -> Democrats claim the President can only do so much

*Rinse and repeat for next Presidency*

I can understand that. I don't really think we're headed towards third world status. We may no longer be the world's remaining superpower, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I can't speak for others, but I personally work much better after taking some time off to relax.

LOL... Attack photos? Really? This is a prime example why our country is going down the tubes. I'm 'picking on your guy'... Oh noes... Forget the status of everything. Someone is poking fun of the first lady. Heaven forbid. He must be a total right wing whacko. Burn him at the stake.

I can't figure out if all the vitriol comes from not wanting to be blamed for the collapse of this country because you backed one side or the other or if you're just so blind to the loyalty you carry for one party over another than you can't see the forest for the trees.

Really... I've woken up early to handle some emails and fire up a proposal and then hit the links or the beach. I consider that a day off. Putting in an hour or two in the morning before having fun for the rest of the day doesn't count as a day of work for me. Lighten up Frances.

Like I said before, this was a light hearted OP. And as I said above... several posts above, you'll have to look for it, I'm over the party system. You can keep falling in line with your team and blindly agreeing with their stance like a rabid Yankees fan if you want.

For me it doesn't matter what team I fall on anymore. This country is FUCKED. Fucked beyond repair. If we ran $100 billion surplusses (the biggest surplus recorded in my lifetime - and it was an accounting trick... but assuming these were REAL surplusses) every year for the next 100 years AND we focused all of that surplus on the national debt, we still couldn't pay it off. And that doesn't count the unfunded liabilities from Medicare, SS and the new health care program.

This country is falling apart at the seams and neither party has an idea how to stop the slide much less fix the problem. It's just a giant dick measuring contest between the D's and the R's to see who can hold the trophy of President, majority in the House or Senate or the deciding seat on SCOTUS. It's a power grab. Not an effort to do anything to save this country.

People who rally to defend their guy from some good natured ribbing with the kind of vitriol noted above are completely clueless, misguided and blind to the real problem this country faces. I could say the same for others who posted above from the other side.

Honestly... what's the plan people? What is Obama's plan to save this country? What is the R party's plan to save this country? The only plans I see from either side is to keep/take back power.

It's a dick measuring contest on the beach as the water rolls out to the horizon in advance of the biggest tsunami anyone has ever seen.

There isn't any plan.

This all reminds me of reading about the last days of the Third Reich in an underground bunker in the heart of Berlin. It was over, yet there were those still running around playing politics to see who would be in charge once Hitler was gone. Just too silly. Sort of like now. It's over but we are still trying to see who will be in charge. In charge of what? I have no idea.
