Hi everyone,
Recently I switch to win2k from win98. Things look fine, excpet one thing: whenever I use the scroll button to view webpages, my computer has a great chance of hanging. And since ctrl-alt-del won't work, i have to reset the system. That happens several time a day. Is there any known problem with scroll mouse? Thanks.

Make sure you've installed the Win2k drivers for all components in your system, especially the house drivers (mouse) in this case.

Beleive it or not, but the most likely culprit could be your vid drivers.

Were you ever playing an mp3 when this happened? If so, when it froze, did the music keep playing? If it did, it is almost definite your graphics card is the problem.

Failing all that it could be that you haven't downloaded and installed all the latest drivers for that house, I mean mouse! Now you got me doing it now :D

Go to the website of your mouse manufacture and download the latest drivers, and patches for the mouse and Win2K too!

Good Luck,

SKY.
