I had applied to graduate school earlier. And I wasn't counting on getting an offer, but I was hoping for it. I went in today and asked if he had reviewed my application. He said he had and that 1st round offers had been sent out. 2nd round would be going out in the next few days and it would be a long shot if I made them. I appreciated his straightforward approach. He also said that come April if there is an opening, he would push hard for an offer for me, since he knows I didn't apply elsewhere. Really nice guy, too bad about the not getting accepted thing.

Oh well, looks like I'll get get a job.

Na, my app was last minute and kinda weak due to some less than stellar letters. I gave a guy a month and a half to write one. He asked me to send him a rough draft, which I did. What does he do? Sends me back the same thing with his custom background. Thanks a lot. If I had known that I would have written one of the best freakin letters ever.
