yea he just put them up on AVS, TBH i was pretty surprised when i saw them for sale. the DIY bug got him. i figured he would sell his 2 Epik Empires and move the caps upstairs. which is why i really want to hear his DIY daytons, his 2 dual opposed must really be something to displace the caps

hes selling them for a good price, you could buy an amp and be under 3k for all of it and have some serious output.

at the last G2G the only thing that bested them was the 3x Seaton submersive setup, which was 6 drivers vs 2 for the JTRs

I was hoping they would push the g2g out till after the first so more people could come. by then id prob have my 2 18s built and prob a pair of the SEOS mains

ah i saw the thread with the results of that gtg. i think i actually went to popalock's house just after that because only 1 of his subs was working because he had built the new box for the other one to match the black box he brought. that dude is a crazy bass head haha. reading everyone's reviews of the dual caps at that gtg does make me think i could buy them and be sure that i will have no probs sub wise.

and i see those pics you linked to were in that thread as well. are the triple 8's the same size as those c8's? i had assumed they were bigger based on the pics but never really looked at measurements lol.

if you were going to spend around $2k for a sub, or possibly $2500, which would you go with?

i really have not researched subs in general yet. i need to start. they seem hard to demo as well.

if you were to spend $3k on a sub, would you get a really nice $3k sub or would you get 2 $1500 subs? i'm leaning towards 1 good one.

I would spend $100 on a sub. Maybe $150 if it's really good.

kind of pissed off cause today was my 'estimated delivery' date but i hadn't received a call yet. so i called them up and kind of got the run around then they put me on the phone with the driver. the driver then told me he didn't have it and i called back and they put me in touch with another driver.

then that driver told me he didn't have it and asked what i had being delivered. then i told him and he asked my address and i told him, and he told me he delivered it about an hour ago. so he just left 5 seats sitting outside infront of my garage. i didn't get to inspect the boxes or anything and they just left them.

pretty pissed about that and am going to be leaving work shortly because i don't like the fact that $2400 worth of furniture is sitting in my driveway.

yea i was pretty pissed. they were there when i got home through.

one of the boxes has a hole all the way through it to the chair. i don't see or feel any rip in the leather but won't be able to tell until i have them apart. these things are A LOT bigger than i expected lol. the total shipping weight on the receipt was 635lbs.

im gonna try to get them in my basement by myself today or tonight but not sure if it will happen. i definitely have to take at least 2 of them out of the box because they won't fit down my stairwell. the box is like an inch wider than my doorway leading down there.

hooooly shit this was one of the biggest pain in the asses i've ever had to do lol. just ripped open all the boxes and moved all of them shits from my garage down to my basement by myself. definitely should have waited for some help because it was fucking hard as shit lol. dripping sweat right now.
