My HDR before and after shots.

I've seen a few threads on HDR, but none that promote members to post their own shots they've taken. So here it is.

I have only taken a few pics of the first of the game like many other pics you'll see around the net, so hopefully you won't be too dissappointed. But the bottom line is, HDR is fvcking spectacular, but I haven't figured out yet whether it's overdone or not. At this point, who cares, top of the line hardware doesn't run it smoothly.

My rig is an A64 3200+ oc'ed to 2.47, 6800GT at default, 1GB CH-5 PC3200, and all the extra usuals. All pics were taken at 1280x1024, but I have downsized them to fit on pics.bbzzdd.com to show. And before anyone asks, yes, it brought my comp to it's frickin' knees, so unfortunately, HDR isn't an option right now unless you want to play at 800x600 with a comp similar to mine.

High Dynamic Range, the console command is "r_HDRRendering 7" or any value between 1 and 11 and need a Geforce6 to for the way they did it in Far Cry to work.

I just played around with it for awhile. I must say it is quite sweet. Some spots are a little over exposed some spots look amazing., All in all its very sweet and I can't wait for more games to implement features like this.

Also the person claiming 2000x AA on that one screen shot..., I think you have something wrong there. Look at all the jaggies on the gun it is not even close to 2000x AA maybe 2x if that. IT does look like it has quite a bit of AF though. Also you cannot use HDR and AA at the same time. so mmm no.

Whoa looks beautiful but really slows things down. Was playing everything on "very high" 1600x1200 and had over 45FPS at all times (fraps). Now dipping in the mid 20's Time for SLI
