My Hard drives

And almost all full... I'm guessing it's mostly porn, as evidenced here.

I would believe it's best to keep your storage drives in a separate system which is protected somehow (surge protector, etc), and somehow connect the two systems, unless you truly need to access this large storage machine regularly. I would be scared something would burn out my main system and fry all the hard drives.

But I'm paranoid, so my logic may not be valid.

:Q They should put you on Fear Factor.

Hard drives keep getting bigger and bigger and programs need more and more space. Right now though, my Raptor maxes out at 36gb out of 74 being used, and that's keeping loads of useless files and not uninstalling a bunch of games like FEAR, Fallout 1 and 2, HL2, etc. What do people who are buying them for personal use need 250gb drives or bigger, or even multiple ones? I mean besides pron. Future proofing> "Bigger is better"?

I've been going backwards.
I used to have 720gb of storage. Now I only have 400gb.
I threw tons of crap away and the stuff I need I'll burn to disc.

My 3800 x2 should be here Monday and I already snagged another 16x burner.
I'll be starting a dual double layer burnathon about an hour after Fedex drops off the 3800.
