I've got a 3TB Seagate in my main PC with 41K+ hours on it... no problems ever. I worked my way through the 500GB/1TB/2TB/3TB/more... upgrade, so my spinners don't have gobs of time on them, but my bigger capacity HDDs are my last HDDs, so they are here to stay.
I built a PC for my MIL about 9 years ago, and I installed an Intel 120GB SSD on it... I checked the time on it a few weeks ago, because it's been running 24/7/365 for about, well, 9 years! It has something like 70000 hours on it, but only 4TB written to it.
