My ssd is listed in windows as only having only about 1.5 gbs of space open. The users folder is supposedly 15gbs worth of stuff, but there is nothing in those folders...The public folder is basically empty. My main user name folder says it's about 15 gbs, but all the folders in there are only about 100mb. Theres nothing hidden as far as I can tell. wtf is going on? It might be something obvious and stupid, but I can't figure it out

He should put show all files and show hidden files blah blah, Ill double that alaricljs my friend...

How can I check if it's emails, or anything hidden? I really don't think it would be email, I rarely use my outlook email so there are very few things there, if that's what you're talking about

ok, I think I just noticed something. I just started a download onto my E: drive, but I think C: just got more full by the size of the download. Does that make any sense, what the hell lol

bah, didn't see the join date of the guy who first posted that, only looked at the post number.

ok, so the data is in

appdata\local\microsoft\windows\temporary internet files\low\content.ie5\

then there are 7 or 8 folders in here with data, from 200mb up to 6 gigs. why is this stuff being saved! my IE is set to lie 50mb of temp internet data. not sure why the folder is called IE5 either. whats going onnnn. if it matters, the biggest folder is mostly recent stuff. and it seems like this problem is somewhat new. I usually never save things to my ssd and suddenly its been getting more and more full

Temporary Internet files can grow huge - especially if you surf a lot. The folder is called Content.IE5. It has been called that for years. BTW, you can move those files off of your SSD to any other location of your choice. You can periuodically and/or routinely delete those files as well.

Clear your browser cache?

In your capture, I did not see all the folders that should be there.

Tools->Folder options->View
Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"
