My hard drive died. Will you help pay respects to it? (Help)

Well atleast I think that my HD is dead or atleast severly screwed up

I turned on my computer when I got home and all it did was give me this pathetic wine/hum and it wouldn't even boot. I restarted my computer quite a few times to no avail.

I am pretty sure it's not a fan because there are only 3 in my computer. 1 on the CPU that I can see running and the other in my brand new power supply. Also since my computer won't boot i doubt its a CD drive

Any other suggestions as to what it could be and how I can fix it?

at least it wasn't clicking or grinding..... those are the worst hd for me.... makes my blood curdle, and skin craw..
