I have to drive up to Phoenix this afternoon. The Superbowl is on so less traffic for me.

Not the greatest happy thought ever like being assured eternal life in paradise or like waking up in the morning and realizing there is a box of Hohos in the pantry but still happy.

Happy thought for today: I just thawed out some cheap steaks I had in the freezer, dinner is going to be good.

The Super Bowl is cool, but not nearly as exciting as everyone makes it to be. I cannot wait until the game gets started, but the saturation of pregame coverage numbs me.

Happy thought for today: I am getting off work in 1 hour and then going to go for some Shisha with buddies with cherry and mint!

I am happy because I do not give a fvck about some american 'footboal'. Football, does that ring a ball? Look at England for sports. Rugby, Football are ones that matter.

I'm happy I don't care about soccer and rugby, now I don't have to waste time getting enjoyment out of stuff that happens to other people.

You're happy not to be happy about something else? Sounds kinda, I don't know, unhappy to me.

Mine is a genuine one, for which I am grateful. I got the call yesterday that my brother-in-law's laptop blue screened. He really needs it, he's been flat on his back for months now.
he muddled through and got the OS reinstalled but the drivers stumped him. I tried to help over the phone but you know how that can go. I called in another family member and they took it to a local shop who did it all last evening. This saved me 6 hours of driving today for which I am truly grateful.

When someone asks me questions about technology on the phone, I tell them to call me on my 900 number.

Not much family left here, I help out when I can. He was a firefighter who was crushed on the job back in the 70's, became a teacher and has beaten cancer as well. As a consequence of the radiation, he ended up with a deep infection that has kept him out of his wheelchair for about 4 months now. Not helping is not an option.

In that case, I'd try as well, but being able to show up and help is always quicker and easier. To explain things to most people, you need to educate them, and technology is a hard thing to teach to those that don't think about it, and haven't ever.

Take joy in the little things...some days the act of going to bed and turning off the lights is enough...
