Later this month I most likely will upgrade to a GTX 1080 if I don't quit PC gaming. I recently purchased Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate, the digital version that includes both the PC and Xbox One version. This game is stuttering on my PC and I'm wondering if it's my video card that is causing stuttering? 60 fps caps stutters too much so I set the cap to 30 fps and it lessened the stuttering a little. I also set the texture quality to High as Ultra made the stuttering worse. I turned off FXAA and motion blur. Everything else is on Ultra. Also the game crashed out on me in the screen after the points screen just after I finished the first race in the game. It didn't freeze my system, it just kicked back to the desktop with the narrator starting to say something. Settings are at 1920x1080 with 4X MSAA and 16x AF. Other hardware in my system includes a i7-4930k (stock), 32GB DDR3-1600, and 512GB SSD. No point in overclocking my CPU as I'm already having a crashing out issue with this game with nothing overclocked. Is my video card the bottleneck in this game? Am I better off playing the Xbox One version instead?

I've just started with Horizon 3. I have SLI GTX 680s on an overclocked 2600k, 16 GB RAM. Not sure how much faster a 780 Ti is from a 680, but it auto-configured me to low/30 fps/1280*800 with one card (SLI was off by accident). Re-enabled SLI and I stayed at low settings but was able to bring the resolution up to 1680*1050. Frame rate seems OK at 30... The game is pretty bloody demanding.
