My gtx 260 came back to life!

Not sure if it really died but I wanted to share the story

I got a computer from a friend of my brothers and he said he couldent get it to work.I took it home and took a risk with the 400w2 psus he had and
I put my gtx 260 in and turned it on but it just spun the fans and turned off so i put in the second psu.

I noticed with the second psu the gpu fan didn't spin so I swapped the psu out and put my corsair 750w psu in and the system ran but the gpu was not working.
I put my psu and gpu back in my system and after several power ups i was certain the gtx was dead.I figured the pci-e rail on the second 400w psu was bad and fried it but about 40 mins later I tried again and its alive.

In the end I thought I was doomed for 4-5days until my hd 7850 that I just ordered arrived. Now that its alive I dont know if I should be happy that its alive or sad cause I may cancel the hd7850.

I wouldn't be happy with a non DX 11 card in 2013, so I'd be glad you have a 7850. Use the 260 for Physx or give it to a friend?

I kinda agree, only issue is I haven't found any dx 11 titles I like and the 260 runs everything just fine so I have no reason to upgrade.

Then you are probably a retro gamer and have no interest in semi recent, recent or upcoming titles.

Yes you are probably right. The only recent or semi recent games I own are torchlight and sc2.

But I was looking forward to playing the new tomb raider.
