My group at amazon is looking for 2 software developers. The positions are at Amazon.com headquaters in Seattle. Below are the requirements for both positions:

SDE I: At least 1 year of experience. Solid knowledge of Java and a degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience with J2EE and Web development is a plus.

SDE II: 3-5 years of experience. Solid knowledge of Java and a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field. Knowledge of ORM tools and development frameworks like Hibernate/Spring is a big plus. Experience with message queueing and a transactional environments is required.

I believe you mean Hibernate/Spring right? Anyways, I'd send you a resume but I'm all the way over here in Durham, NC...can I telecommute? BTW, I definitely meet your SDE II requirements. :)

had a phone interview the other day and felt like i did OK and was able to come up with an OK solution to the big problem that was posed. at the end of the interview i was given the impression, based on a question i asked about what they were lookin for, that i did not have enough experience... anyhow i got a call from hr for a 2nd phone interview... is amazon just following a mandatory procedure or do you think the interviewer gave a thumbs up for the 2nd phone call?
