I cant believe this, he was as healthly as an ox not 2 months ago, but he all of a sudden he rapidly deteriorated, his kidneys and heart failed, and now hes dead. He didnt drink, didnt smoke, didnt do ANY of that stuff.

I havnt cried, but i know its coming, and its going to come hard, he was basically a replacement for my dad to me.

We're all immigrants to the US from South Africa, and he became a US citizen 2 years ago, and we were using him as our american relative for our residency application, but now i dont know whats going to happen, I hope the US immigration service will have mercy 🙁

He served his country when he didnt have to, he lied about his age (he was 16) to serve in the South African army that aided the Allies in the North African campaign, he repaired B-17 and other heavy bombers for them, i even have his dog tags.....I was so proud of him, and I still am.

I'm glad i had the opportunity to spend a part of my life with such a wonderful human being, if I could say that I lived a life half as good as him, then I could say that I lived a good life.

He will be in my heart forever. 🙁

I am sorry to hear that. I know the pain you are feeling now (my sig is a tribute to him) - that's a part of life that's unavoidable, unfortunately. My condolences 🙁

Sorry to hear man, I lost my grandpa less than a month ago (Nov 19th). I know how it feels when someone is suddenly taken away from you 🙁

my condolences

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm still in denial over my friend dying, but the pain comes in spurts; don't fight it when it does. 🙁

its always hard when a loved one passes.
its been just over 8 years since one of my grandmothers passed and i still think about her nearly every day.
just keep their memory alive and thats the best you can do.
dont be afraid to cry if you need or feel like it.
it just takes time.

I went through tough times with the death of my grandmother. I just think that she's not dead until forgotten. I'm really sorry, man...
