My Grandmother.

My Grandmother has been up at Crawford Long Hospital since Monday for a produre to check her condition of her heart. We found out Monday that two have her arteries are 100% block and the only thing they can do for her is medicine. Surgery is not an option at all because of her age (88) and her other medical conditions. Now I just found out that she has lost her mind. She doesn't know who she is or where she is. So my grandfather is taking her home today no matter what. I hope taking her home will help her out plus it get her back to familar things. My grandmother as been the backbone to our family for years this is just way to hard for me. Oh how I love her. I just hope she really truly know how much I love her. For some reason my Grandfather is blaming himself for this I don't know why he is doing that. I hope he understands he has not done anything wrong. Oh boy I am about lose it here at work I beter stop before I am a crying too much that I can't take phone calls.

My grandmother went through something similar before she passed away. It was very tough on my grandfather and aunt. They weren't able to taker her home, though, but it would have meant the world to them to be able to do it.

And she knows, don't doubt it.

I know how you feel. My grandma is in a home now in the later stages of Alzheimer's. My Gramps took care of her for 4 years until he could no longer do it because his own health is deteriorating. My heart goes out to you because I know how helpless it feels.

My thoughts and prayers are truly with you guys. From what I have seen times have been really tough for you and your family.
