My graduating salary is more than anyone in my extended family has ever made

It just amazes me that my first "real" job will pay more than parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc have ever made. I guess college was the right choice for me.

I'm aiming for the same thing. My cousins and I are the first-generation college graduates in the family. With me being the oldest, I'll sure make them proud... I just need a job now...

It just comes up in conversation or people talking about their jobs. I guess my family and friends aren't shy about it.
